I've been a licensed clinical mental health counselor for over two decades, working with people navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship patterns, and the effects of chaotic or high-pressure environments. Along the way, I've also trained and mentored other therapists and spent years in private practice. That range of experience showed me how chaos, pressure, and hard seasons of life can teach the body to brace, and how much can change when that bracing begins to ease.
Eventually, I brought that understanding into the corporate world, creating and leading a wellness program at a top-ten accounting firm with more than nine thousand employees. Through education, collaboration, and one-on-one coaching, I saw how many high-achieving people succeed on paper while quietly running on empty.
Whether pressure began in childhood or years of relentless work, the underlying pattern is often similar. I draw on a range of approaches and tailor them to each person, because lasting change happens when the work fits real life.
Coming back to private practice, with everything I learned along the way, has been one of the best decisions I've made. This is where I started, and where I always meant to return, sitting with real people, doing real work, and helping them find their way back to hope. This is my roots, and I'm grateful to be here.
Hi, I’m Lynn.
How we work together
What keeps us stuck often lives in two places: the body and the mind. When your system is braced, racing, numb, or shut down, "just think positive" doesn't reach it, because that alarm isn't coming from your thoughts. So part of our work happens from the body up: helping your nervous system learn, slowly and safely, that it doesn't have to work so hard to keep you safe.
Other times, it's your thinking that keeps you stuck: old beliefs, a harsh inner voice, the stories you absorbed about your worth. So we also work from the top down, making sense of those patterns and gently loosening their grip.
Most people need some of both, and I'll help you find the balance that fits you. I tailor our work to what actually helps you feel steadier and what you're genuinely willing to commit to in real life. Some of it is understanding where this began. A lot of it is building something new: the felt sense of safety you maybe never had.
Outside the therapy room
Most of what restores me happens away from a screen. I recharge outside in the sunshine, walking or hiking, and with quiet time to meditate, breathe, and read. Time with my husband and teenage son fills me back up, along with time with extended family and friends. My very full house helps, too: four dogs who span the entire spectrum, from Macc, our four-and-a-half-pound Chihuahua, to Floyd, our hundred-and-fifty-pound Great Dane, with our two "golden girls," Mabel and Chi, holding down the middle.
When you’re ready
You don't have to have the words for all of it. You just have to be curious whether things could feel different. If you are, let’s talk.
